In the beginning
EBIZ Technology was founded in 1999 to deliver products and services utilizing
the Lotus Domino collaboration platform.
From the start, EBIZ was involved in several high-impact collaborative
development projects, including the development, rollout, and training of a
global customer relationship management system for a carbide manufacturer based
in Sweden.
In addition, EBIZ developed several canned applications that we sold to
customers throughout the Lotus Domino community, including OmniSearch,
OmniCalendar, OmniArchive, the OSMOSIS Excel Connector and Palm Connector, and
Wireless In A Box.
A shift in focus
In 2002, the company was reorganized and refocused. We sold off our
Wireless In A Box platform to focus specifically on team collaborative
applications utilizing Lotus Domino and general web technologies.
Building on our experience delivering customer relationship management
solutions, we began to compile and integrate our Lotus Domino technology
portfolio into a single collaborative application we call TeamWork.
In addition to our Lotus Domino efforts, we started to experiment with
several open-source applications to create a solution with the same benefits as
TeamWork, but delivered as an appliance - hardware, software, data import, and
configurations. The end result of this is our solution called TeamToaster.
